Price of things change from being cheap to expensive or even a things get discount to make those items sold out rather than expired at store. What makes price changes, it happens from a lot of reasons. Some reasons, such as a holiday or big day could be the victim of price changes to being more expensive. As examples in Indonesia, we had a celebration day called lebaran. Lebaran is a big day for muslim peoples and a holiday for all Indonesian peoples.

Lebaran causes some item demand overcome the supply of the items. Demand of an items raise when those items need-able or being a popular icon in that celebration day. In lebaran day items such as meat will be a little bit expensive than before, it means that items were very needed. But, usually item with a bit of supply at the store will causes those items being expensive if those item were rare in big day.

There’s way to face a price change at lebaran’s day. The easiest way to do was balancing consumption item with needed item. So, when buying something we had to think first if this things were needed or really useless. Deciding which things of the primary needs or secondary needs were important too. Price change happens every year at lebaran, production factory needed to control peoples demand. Demand must be equal to the supply, so the price will be normal like usual days.

Market operation is functioned for pressing the price change. Market operation really needed to prevent market seller raising his/her price for their own benefit. Those will cause inflation that makes other market sell things in similiar price, in this case more expensive price. If this goes on all of the market will sell things in expensive price rather than normal price. Market operation works people to undecover in market asking about prices. If theres a seller who sell things pricer than other seller, those market seller will be alerted and asked to return their price to normal one.

Lastly, supply control. Worldwide food prices always influence food prices locally in Indonesia. Goverment should warn market seller or even convenient store to control their supply when big day is coming. So, when the big day is coming all the supply will be kept and prevent the rarity of the supplies.

  2. Well, "lebaran" isn't english language. I think if you want to put "lebaran" word you should use quotation mark or you can change it to translation english word. Lebaran=eid mubarak

  9. I think you should explain more about your thesis whether you agree about the change of the prize or not, and also the reasons behind. Not only explain about why the prize could change.
